Megan Eckhardt has worked at The Daily Iowan for three years and now is the editor of the UI daily community newspaper. She has covered the Iowa City City Council and the Iowa State Board of Regents, as well as other general assignments.

Eckhardt worked as a sales representative for University Directories, selling and designing advertisements, during the 2002 summer. She is a member of Public Relations Student Society of America and is a two-year dancer for the University of Iowa Dance Marathon, a 24-hour dancathon that raises money for children with cancer.

Eckhardt is the oldest daughter of Sandra and Greg Eckhardt. She will graduate in May and hopes to work in marketing and management at a newspaper. In her free time Eckhardt enjoys spending time with friends, reading and cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes.
