Kelley Casino began working at The Daily Iowan in the fall of 2002 as a police and public safety reporter and became a news editor in the summer of 2003, which is her current job at the newspaper.

Graduating in December, Casino hopes to obtain a job in the field of print journalism, someday hopefully as a police or investigative reporter for The Chicago Tribune - her “destination paper.”

Casino is the middle child of five and the only one in her family to go to the University of Iowa. Her parents, Craig and Susan, started their own tree care company, Tree Green, Tree Specialists, in 1975 and run the business out of their home.

Casino has a love for cinema, reading, and newspaper reporting and is a die-hard Hawkeye football fan - Go Hawks!
