Grant
Schulte, an award-winning student journalist with nearly
five years of experience, works as a news editor and assistant
Web editor for The Daily Iowan. His bylines have
appeared in publications including The Daily Iowan,
Iowa Alumni Magazine, YOUNG MONEY Magazine, Anthology Magazine,
and The Washington Times.
As a national
desk intern and freelance writer for The Washington
Times, his stories were cited on D.C. Talk Radio and
the Drudge Report.
Schulte’s
awards include the 2002 Iowa Outstanding Young Journalist
Award from the Iowa Newspaper Association, the Jim Murray
Foundation Scholarship in memory of the famous Los Angeles
Times sports columnist, and the John Chamberlain Award
for Print Journalism. Earlier this year, the Scripps Howard
Foundation named him one of the top ten college journalists
in the nation.
