John Molseed enjoys covering
politics ranging from local school board issues up to the
presidential level.
Molseed began his career in journalism immediately
after high school working for a Dubuque television station
as a photographer, field producer, and as an on-air reporter,
while attending the University of Dubuque part-time. He
capitalized on Iowa's first in the nation caucus status
to cover the 2000 caucuses and worked the mass media event
for television and on-line reporting.
Molseed came to the University of Iowa in
the fall 2001 to hone his skills on the print side of the
craft. He has a weekly column for The Daily Iowan,
where he is also a member of the editorial board.
